    7. New Threads

    It was time to buy Ted a real suit when he said he had a sport jacket that almost matched a pair of slacks. This was no way to show up at a job interview. We skipped his favorite store that sold red shirts and cheap leather jackets, and headed for Von Maur. A blue-gray Hart Schaffner Marx suit fit him like a glove. The tailor said he'd have to take in the waist on the jacket. I remember those days.
