7. End of the affair.
When Ted left for college, he left a "home town honey" behind. She was a high school senior who was active in marching band, and Ted was impressed that she could play the drum set. But because of their schedules, the next time they could see each other was in November. The end was inevitable and Ted hated it: they broke up. But I'm sure he'll recover.
